Everyone who needs a Second Chance to work and change their life – gets that chance.

Mission

To expose 2500 Second Chance job opportunities in Hamilton County each year by inspiring and equipping employers to embrace this cause.

RAISE AWARENESS of the need and proven business benefits
LEVERAGE ECOSYSTEM of social services and incentives for Second Chance support

THE GENESIS

In the past half-decade, several businesses independently tapped into a hard-working previously overlooked resource in Greater Cincinnati – citizens returning from time in prison looking for a second chance to rebuild their lives. One of these businesses, Nehemiah Manufacturing, desired to amplify this mission beyond any one company…

THE NEED

Many people of the 2,500 returning to Hamilton County from prison each year have great attitudes, skills and determination to bring to the workplace every day. They have families that need them to survive. What they don’t have? A chance to prove themselves.

HOW TO ENGAGE

The Beacon of Hope Business Alliance has great insight to share for employers looking to derive more immediate business success in opening jobs to our Second Chance Citizens. We offer a simple process to hire and develop talent and a deep pool of free resources to assist you in your journey of Second Chance hiring.
